Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a leading Housing Company in the North London area who are looking for a brand new Estimator to join their team covering Roofing projects.

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Estimator to join a well-established contractor based in North London, working on exciting and impactful roofing projects within the social housing sector. Key Responsibilities:

• Take the lead on estimating for roofing projects within the social housing sector.
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure estimates are accurate and in line with project specifications.
• Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed and competitive cost breakdowns.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain quotes and negotiate costs.
• Prepare and present cost estimates for new projects, as well as variations on ongoing contracts.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, costings, and best practices to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
• Assist in the development and implementation of project budget management.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as an Estimator, with a strong focus on roofing projects (preferably within the social housing sector).
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tenders.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations and health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A full understanding of costing software and relevant estimating tools.
