Gas Supervisor - Social Housing (Commercial & Domestic

Location: North London

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

We're hiring a Gas Supervisor to lead commercial and domestic gas operations across a social housing portfolio in North London. You'll manage a team of mobile engineers, ensure full compliance and safe delivery, and drive quality, first-time fixes, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and schedule a team of domestic and commercial gas engineers (servicing, breakdowns, installs).

• Ensure compliance with gas legislation, HSE requirements, landlord obligations, and contract KPIs.

• Carry out quality audits, toolbox talks, site safety inspections, and competency checks.

• Provide technical support on complex diagnostics and oversee first-time-fix performance.

• Manage workflow, parts, and supplier coordination to maximise productivity and minimise revisits.

• Monitor performance data, budgets, WIP, and certification accuracy (CP12, CP15, etc.).

• Liaise with client reps, resident liaison teams, and H&S to resolve issues quickly.

• Maintain accurate records within the job management/CAFM system and produce reports.

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training/development of the gas team.

• Champion a safety-first culture and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Gas Supervisor or Lead Gas Engineer in social housing.

• Commercial and domestic background; confident across servicing, repairs, and installations.

• Current ACS: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1 (or equivalents) and CODNCO1/commercial tickets.

• Strong knowledge of gas safety legislation, risk assessments, RAMS, and permit-to-work.

• Experience managing a mobile workforce and subcontractors, with KPI delivery.

• Solid diagnostics skills, customer focus, and clear communication.

• IT-literate with job management/CAFM systems and MS Office.

• Full UK driving licence (van and fuel card provided).
