Role Overview

Daniel Owen are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Estates Services team for one of our key clients. This role offers hybrid working, with a minimum of 3 days on site per week


Duties & Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Deliver mechanical building services engineering and manage maintenance contracts.

  • Support the University's Carbon Management Strategy through low and zero carbon projects, renewable technologies, and decolonisation programmes.

  • Work on major new build projects, refurbishments, long-term maintenance, and smaller capital works.

  • Collaborate with the Sustainability Team, Built Estate, Space Management, and Administrative teams.

  • Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders across the University.

  • Contribute to the delivery of net zero by 2040.


Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.

  • Strong background in building services engineering, estates, or facilities management.

  • Experience in delivering and managing maintenance contracts.

  • Knowledge of low carbon/renewable technologies (desirable).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
