We are working with a Facilities Management provider who is looking for enthusiastic Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineers for a commercail Contract in the North London area.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications: NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Plumbing.

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in commercial building environments-handling both HVAC and plumbing systems.

  • Certificates & Skills: F-Gas and Legionella certifications are advantageous but not essential. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, with independent working capability supported by effective teamwork and communication.

  • Safety Focused: Familiarity with site health & safety protocols and the ability to follow guidelines rigorously.

Contract & Working Terms

  • Duration: 12-week temporary contract, with strong potential for permanent employment thereafter.

  • Schedule: Standard Monday-Friday, with occasional call-outs or overtime as required.

  • Compensation: Competitive market-aligned rate for North London commercial engineers.

  • Post-Contract Benefits: On transition to a permanent role, expect a full benefits package including holiday, pension, and training provisions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • HVAC / Air Conditioning Maintenance

    • Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on systems like air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), chillers, pumps, and associated pipework.

    • Perform reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis to ensure minimal downtime.

    • Oversee system performance via Building Management System (BMS) monitoring and respond to alarms.

    • Manage routine tasks such as filter replacements and general HVAC upkeep.

  • Plumbing & Water Systems

    • Handle plumbing maintenance including unblocking toilets, repairing taps, fixing leaks, and minor installations.

    • Carry out water treatment, including Legionella control and maintaining proper logs and compliance.
