Job Title: Planned Works Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing
Location: Covering Leighton Buzzard

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in planned works and social housing?
We're working with a leading housing provider to recruit a commercially astute and driven Planned Works Quantity Surveyor to join their growing property services team, covering the Leighton Buzzard area.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the commercial aspects of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects within a social housing setting.
Prepare cost estimates, tender documentation, and contract valuations for planned works including roofing, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, and external upgrades.
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial performance aligns with contractual obligations.
Liaise with contractors, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and timely completion of works.
Carry out cost/value reconciliation and financial reporting.
Conduct valuations and process contractor payments.
Support procurement strategies and contribute to value engineering across projects.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the social housing sector - planned maintenance experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of SOR codes and cost control within housing projects.
Experience working with JCT and NEC contracts.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and travel within the Leighton Buzzard area.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Full UK driving licence.
